Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Pedro Scherer (ranked 5583 p4p, 523 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 4181 p4p, 456 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Scherer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones ! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Jones . Jones tries to clinch there but Scherer circles away.
Scherer throws a quick inside leg kick. Jones wants to clinch. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A nice leg kick lands there from Scherer. Jones on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jones blocks a head kick by Scherer.
Scherer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Scherer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scherer avoids the head kick by Jones .
Scherer looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scherer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scherer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scherer can pounce on him.
Scherer throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Scherer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scherer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Scherer moves out of range of the body kick from Jones .
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scherer lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones 's hand. Jones rushes Scherer and presses him up against the ropes. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones misses with a low kick as Scherer jumps back. Pedro Scherer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Scherer lands with a shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is looking to clinch but Scherer is avoiding it.
Jones tries to clinch and Scherer counters with a lovely shot to the body. Jones lands a head kick that bluckles Scherer and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Jones no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Those never looked like landing. As Jones backs away, Scherer returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Jones looks for the body kick but Scherer saw that one coming. Jones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Scherer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Jones throws a hook but Scherer blocks it. Scherer scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks. Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scherer can pounce on him.

Scherer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jones . This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scherer swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones .

Jones keeps control of Scherer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jones prevents Scherer from breaking the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Scherer fails to land. Scherer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around? Scherer avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.
Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Scherer misses with a hook from the clinch.

Scherer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Scherer is trying to break the clinch but Jones has him pressed against the ropes. Scherer manages to break the clinch.

Scherer lands an uppercut. Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Scherer gets an underhook and turns Jones into the ropes. Scherer tries to break the clinch but Jones is controlling the position. Scherer wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.

Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scherer was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones . Jones tries to clinch and Scherer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones 's knee momentarily. Scherer scores with a nice head shot. Jones misses with a low kick. It looked like Scherer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jones . Scherer is looking to score with low kicks. Scherer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jones is looking to clinch. Jones just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromScherer. Scherer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Scherer throws a quick inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! Pedro Scherer showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scherer, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
