Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lenny Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Haynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenny Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Haynes!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole gets the takedown into side control.
Haynes taking punishment in the form of punches.

Cole is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Haynes has escaped the position, nice work there.

Cole tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cole has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cole wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haynes keeps working.
Haynes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cole tries to advance to mount but Haynes instead regains half guard.
Haynes works his way to full guard. Good work.

Haynes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cole is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Haynes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cole's back instead.
Cole just trying to survive but Haynes is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Cole can't escape the position.
Cole rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Cole is trying to get back to full guard.
Cole slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Haynes thows a big elbow that misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cole is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Haynes is in trouble now - Cole has advanced to mount!

Haynes is in a horrible position here. Cole smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


It looks like John Haynes has been cut.

Cole looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Cole swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Haynes is now in Cole's guard. A big mistake from Cole there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cole is on top in guard.
Haynes striking off his back but it's not causing Cole any problems.
Cole might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cole throws and elbow that misses. Haynes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cole's guard. Nice move by Haynes!

Cole winds up and cracks Haynes with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Cole is tying to control. Haynes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cole wants to pass to mount but Haynes is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Cole tries for a takedown but Haynes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
John Haynes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cole is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Haynes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cole frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Haynes is wriggling around trying to escape.
Haynes is trying to escape the mount but Cole keeps good control and instead manages to take Haynes's back.
Haynes looking very determined here, making life difficult for Cole.
Cole controlling the position well here. Haynes rolled but Cole kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Haynes grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.


The cut above John Haynes's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
You can see the frustration on Haynes's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Will Cole go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Cole is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Haynes won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Cole off his unconscious opponent!
