Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bernand Patterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Izzy Stradlin! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stradlin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stradlin lands in his opponent's guard. Patterson is wriggling around but Stradlin manages to pass to half guard.
Stradlin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Stradlin prevents Patterson from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stradlin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Patterson is just riding it out for now. Stradlin eventually gives up the hold. Patterson is defending against the submission attempts here by Stradlin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patterson wants to improve his position but Stradlin is controlling well.
Stradlin performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Patterson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stradlin is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Patterson wants to get back to full guard. Patterson won't allow Stradlin to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stradlin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Patterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Stradlin tries to sprawl out of it but Patterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stradlin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Stradlin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Patterson shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Patterson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stradlin swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bernand Patterson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stradlin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Patterson. Stradlin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Patterson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Patterson working a defensive guard but Stradlin passes into half guard.
Stradlin controlling the action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Patterson is trying to maintain the position but Stradlin is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stradlin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Patterson pushes Stradlin off and gets back to his feet. Stradlin moves out of range of the leg kick from Patterson. Patterson dives in and grabs Stradlin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stradlin pushes down on Patterson's head and hops out. Patterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Patterson tries to clinch and Stradlin counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stradlin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stradlin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Patterson has escaped the position, nice work there. Stradlin tries for a kimura but Patterson is defending well. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Patterson trying his best to control but Stradlin has mounted him. Stradlin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Patterson tries to hold on but Stradlin pushes him away. Stradlin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Stradlin works his way to his opponent's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stradlin avoiding Patterson 's attempts to control his hands. What can Patterson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Stradlin working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Stradlin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Patterson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stradlin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Patterson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Stradlin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Patterson. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Patterson trying to get back to his feet but Stradlin is in full control for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Izzy Stradlin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Stradlin gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Patterson regains guard.
Patterson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Stradlin dives into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Stradlin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Stradlin controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patterson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Stradlin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Patterson has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Patterson can't do much from the bottom here. The referee asks Stradlin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Stradlin prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patterson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Patterson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Stradlin tries to advance to mount but Patterson denies him. Patterson is looking for a sweep.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Patterson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stradlin with the counter takedown but Patterson avoids it easily. Patterson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Patterson rushes Stradlin and presses him up against the cage. Patterson is trying to force a seperation but Stradlin has the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Patterson is pushing Stradlin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Patterson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stradlin's elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Izzy Stradlin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Stradlin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
