Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Drew Sexton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ramachandra Reinhold! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reinhold tries for a takedown but Sexton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. It looked like Sexton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Reinhold doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Donk. Sexton catches Reinhold right on the button with a cross. Reinhold takes a shot right to the bread basket. Reinhold misses with a takedown and Reinhold takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sexton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sexton lands the left hand. Reinhold has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Reinhold on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sexton. Sexton obviously looking to wear him down.
Sexton cracks the inside of Reinhold's front leg. Reinhold closes the distance and clinches up with Sexton, looking for a takedown. Reinhold pushes Sexton against the cage but Sexton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Drew Sexton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ramachandra Reinhold. Sexton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reinhold has time to react. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sexton scores with a decent looking hook. Reinhold drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sexton wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sexton is on top in guard.

Sexton works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sexton controlling the position easily from mount. Reinhold is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reinhold can do anything to dispel that myth. Sexton looking to finish with strikes here!
Reinhold is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sexton controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Reinhold is looking to get to half guard. Reinhold is still trying to improve position. Sexton controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drew Sexton dominated that round. That's time! Sexton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Reinhold doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sexton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A shot in the inside from Sexton. Sexton lands a shoulder strike. Sexton lands a left hand.
Sexton lands a knee to the head.
Sexton working some nice short punches in the clinch. Sexton is leaning against Reinhold and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Reinhold takes an elbow to the temple. Sexton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reinhold can do to turn this around? Reinhold on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Reinhold takes a shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Sexton is defending well against a takedown attempt. A right hook to the body lands for Sexton.
A nice right hand lands inside from Sexton. Sexton tries a knee to the head but Reinhold blocks it.
Sexton lands a nice elbow. Sexton scores with a nice hook to the head. Reinhold is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sexton digs a right hand into Reinhold's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Reinhold's gas tank. Reinhold should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Reinhold's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Sexton drops Reinhold with a big knee straight up the middle! Reinhold is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Reinhold is rocked!
It looks like Ramachandra Reinhold has been cut. Drew Sexton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reinhold doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Sexton lands a big head kick that sends Reinhold to the canvas! Sexton follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drew Sexton!
