Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Butch Thighpunch (ranked 2216 p4p, 266 weight class) and Brian Baggs (ranked 2434 p4p, 284 weight class). The key to victory for Butch Thighpunch has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Butch Thighpunch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Baggs! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Baggs does no damage. Thighpunch uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Baggs. A big left from Baggs misses. It looked like Thighpunch was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Baggs. Thighpunch ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Baggs throws a right and a left that both miss. Baggs misses with a left hand and Thighpunch counters with a right hand to the body. Baggs misses with a straight right. Thighpunch connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Baggs momentarily.
Thighpunch lands with an uppercut that bounces Baggs off the cage and back into range. Baggs throws an overhand right that lands on Thighpunch's shoulder, as Thighpunch tries to avoid the shot. Baggs looks to land a combination but Thighpunch avoids it well. Baggs misses with a wild combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baggs turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thighpunch throws a hook but Baggs blocks it. Baggs throws the left hand but Thighpunch avoids the punch easily. Baggs staying out of range there. Baggs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Some wild striking there from Baggs.
Baggs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The fighters circling - Thighpunch throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Thighpunch cracks Baggs with a right hand to the side of the head. Baggs misses with a lunging right hand
and Baggs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Baggs is rocked! Baggs looks to land a combination but Thighpunch avoids it well. Baggs is still on wobbly legs! Can Thighpunch finish him? Baggs just misses with a punch to the body.
Baggs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Thighpunch walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Baggs drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Thighpunch swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Baggs's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Butch Thighpunch! Butch Thighpunch was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
