Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Ahr (ranked 1790 p4p, 197 weight class) and Theodore Nouveau (ranked 3396 p4p, 333 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Gustav Ahr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Theodore Nouveau!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nouveau takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nouveau tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ahr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nouveau fails with a takedown attempt.
Ahr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ahr misses the shot to the body.
Nouveau looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ahr is fending him off so far but Nouveau persists. Nope, Ahr circles away and we're back to standing.
Gustav Ahr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ahr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Nouveau was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Nouveau tries to clinch up but Ahr circles away and keeps his distance.
Ahr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nouveau. Nouveau circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nouveau shoots in but Ahr avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gustav Ahr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theodore Nouveau.
Nouveau dives in for a single leg takedown but Ahr sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ahr wants it to stay on the feet.
Nouveau takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nouveau fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
It looked like Ahr was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Nouveau.
Ahr cracks a nice hook into Nouveau's ribs.

Ahr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nouveau walks into a stiff left hand from Ahr.
Ahr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Nouveau fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ahr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nouveau.

Ahr fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nouveau takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Ahr gets caught flat footed, as Nouveau shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Ahr manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Nouveau looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ahr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ahr throws a body shot but no joy.
Ahr moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nouveau takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Ahr gets a takedown into half guard.

Nouveau is rocked!

Ahr looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ahr is nestled in close to Nouveau, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nouveau is still in real trouble! Can Ahr finish him?
Ahr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nouveau's head.
Nouveau is staying active underneath Ahr, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ahr looks to land a strike but Nouveau avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Nouveau seems to have recovered his senses.

Nouveau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ahr cracks Nouveau with a solid left hand.
Ahr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ahr's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Nouveau can't keep his opponent in guard - Ahr advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Nouveau is holding on to half guard well.
Nouveau flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ahr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nouveau with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Nouveau controlling the position for now.

Nouveau works his way to full guard. Good work.
Ahr distracts Nouveau with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ahr passes Nouveau's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ahr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nouveau with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ahr wants to control but Nouveau is keeping him busy.
Ahr looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nouveau is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ahr pulls his head out easily.
Ahr lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Nouveau quite badly. Nouveau pulls Ahr in close trying to recover. Ahr postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Nouveau on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Nouveau doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
