Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Hurley (ranked 22441 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodger Bell (ranked 3338 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Quinton Hurley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodger Bell! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Bell. Hurley shrugs it off though. Hurley misses with a series of wild punches.
Bell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hurley circles away quickly and effectively. Bell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hurley is trying to control but can't.
Hurley really is a fat lump. Bell is keen to just control but Hurley is a slippery customer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell throwing shots but Hurley is blocking nicely. Hurley has his hands clasped together around Bell's back. He's all about the action. Bell tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurley is looking for a sweep. Bell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hurley is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Bell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. BOOM! Bell connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hurley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hurley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell looking to finish Hurley with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hurley! Hurley really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Hurley tries to hold on but Bell pushes him away. Hurley is looking to get to half guard. Bell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hurley is looking to escape. Hurley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bell content just to control the position here. Hurley wants to control but Bell is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurley manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Hurley, under a barage of strikes from Bell.
Hurley is refusing to be controlled, as Bell sits in half guard. Hurley is trying to get back to full guard. Hurley is not content to let Bell control the position. Hurley is in trouble now - Bell has advanced to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurley tries to reverse the position but Bell maintains control. Hurley stops Bell from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Hurley tries to hold on but Bell pushes him away. Bell wants to control the pace but Hurley is squirming around nicely. Hurley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bell goes for an armbar but Hurley turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hurley. Hurley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hurley postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodger Bell dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bell throws a sloppy head kick and Hurley moves out of range easily. Bell shoots in and gets a takedown into Hurley's guard. Hurley controlling the position. Hurley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurley has his hands on Bell's head, controlling the position. Hurley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hurley continues to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bell misses with a head kick.
Hurley wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Bell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hurley feinted with a counter takedown. Bell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hurley manages to avoid it. It looked like Hurley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hurley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bell tries a low kick but Hurley avoids it. Rodger Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bell is looking for the big counter here. Bell swats away the attempt to clinch by Hurley. Bell misses with a leg kick and Hurley counters with a one-two to the body. Bell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hurley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bell has his feet on Hurley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell scores with a body shot.
Hurley is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bell bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Bell lands a high kick!
A solid leg kick lands there for Bell.
Bell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As Bell looks to move away, Hurley throws a big counter combo but Bell just gets out of the way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurley blocks a head kick by Bell.
Rodger Bell seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bell is breathing heavily. Bell throws a wild body kick that Hurley sees coming a mile off. Hurley is looking for a counter combo. Bell connects with a high kick. Hurley avoids the head kick by Bell.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Both fighters circling a little - Bell finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Bell tries a head kick but it misses.
Bell throws a body punch but Hurley moves out of range. Hurley fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodger Bell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
A big right from Bell misses. Bell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bell looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bell wants to control but Hurley is keeping him busy. Bell moves into full mount! Rodger Bell has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hurley is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurley is working hard here to advance position. Hurley sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Hurley is trying is best to control the position here. Bell is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hurley desperately trying to maintain half guard. Bell throwing shots but Hurley is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hurley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bell has gone for a leg lock! Hurley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bell's guard. Hurley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bell will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hurley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell controls Hurley momentarily but Hurley frees himself. Hurley lands a couple of decent looking shots. Bell looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hurley chips away with some ground and pound. Bell wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hurley is now in half guard. Bell is refusing to be controlled, as Hurley sits in half guard. Bell is trying to stand back up but Hurley is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell tries to get to full guard but Hurley has control of the leg. Hurley is thwarting Bell's attempts to control the position. Hurley stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Bell tries to land a front kick but Hurley steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Hurley is looking to counter the offense by Bell and move into the clinch. Hurley throws a low kick but Bell moves out of range easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hurley's half guard. Quinton Hurley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rodger Bell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hurley gets full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rodger Bell. Well Bell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
