Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sol Goldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leandro Dorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldstein kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nothing to Prove by H2O. On his way into the cage it seems that Sol Goldstein has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sol Goldstein seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Goldstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leandro Dorian! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Goldstein paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dorian tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dorian tries to clinch but Goldstein moves out of range. No joy there for Goldstein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dorian is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Goldstein. Goldstein misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Goldstein is looking to take a break and control but Dorian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dorian is looking to regain half guard here but Goldstein keeps moving and retains side control. Dorian stops Goldstein from passing to mount. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Goldstein fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dorian looks to throw the jab but Goldstein is out of range. Dorian avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Goldstein lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A head kick misses from Goldstein. Nice defenses there by Dorian. Goldstein looks to land a left hand but Dorian moved out of range nicely. Goldstein misses with a looping right. Dorian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goldstein manages to avoid it. The fight stays on the outside here - Dorian looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Goldstein thumps Dorian with a low kick. Goldstein lands with a kick to the ribs.
Goldstein throws a push kick but Dorian slaps the foot to one side. Goldstein throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sol Goldstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Goldstein bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dorian tries to buck Goldstein off but Goldstein is having none of it. Dorian gets back to half guard. Goldstein is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goldstein wants to pass to mount but Dorian is defending the position. Goldstein lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Dorian trying to control from the bottom.
Goldstein really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dorian is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Goldstein avoids the attempt from Dorian to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dorian sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Dorian is pressing down on Goldstein's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Goldstein decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dorian, up you get! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Goldstein, as that shot connected.
Dorian fails in his attempt to clinch. Goldstein will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dorian throws a nice looking combination but Goldstein bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sol Goldstein dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Goldstein throws a right and a left that both miss. Goldstein swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Goldstein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Goldstein pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dorian is out of range and Goldstein settles back down. Goldstein cracks the inside of Dorian's front leg. Dorian is looking to clinch. Goldstein misses with a low kick. Goldstein gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dorian counters with a nice double leg into guard. Goldstein looking for a guillotine here but Dorian defends easily.
Goldstein pulls Dorian in to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dorian passes into half guard. Dorian looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dorian passes Goldstein's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dorian seems to be working for a kimura but Goldstein defends the submission attempt. Goldstein is in trouble now - Dorian has advanced to mount!

Dorian manages to capitalize on a mistake by Goldstein to take his back! Dorian is looking for a choke. Goldstein gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Goldstein manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Goldstein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dorian swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dorian is adopting a defensive guard. Goldstein throws a strike but Dorian rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorian wants to pass the guard but Goldstein is keeping the position. Goldstein seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Goldstein manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dorian manages to get himself to full guard.

Leandro Dorian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
