Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Mejia (ranked 23998 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Hadley (ranked 23542 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudy Mejia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Hadley! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mejia fails with the takedown. Mejia defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hadley. Mejia went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Mejia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hadley fails to land the takedown. Hadley with a poor takedown and Mejia counters by clinching up. Rudy Mejia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Hadley. Mejia blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mejia jumps guard and drags Hadley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Mejia wants to sweep but no luck. Mejia controls Hadley momentarily but Hadley frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hadley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mejia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mejia looking for a sweep. Not yet Mejia, not yet. Mejia drops back looking for a leg! Hadley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hadley manages to kick Mejia off! Mejia jumps back into Hadley's guard. Hadley wants to stand but Mejia is controlling the position. Hadley looking to control.
Mejia landing with the ground and pound. Mejia has gone for a leg lock! Hadley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mejia's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mejia is looking for a triangle but Hadley pushes his legs off easily.
Mejia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hadley defends it easily. Mejia keeping moving, preventing Hadley from controlling successfully. Hadley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hadley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mejia is keeping the position for now. Hadley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mejia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hadley is aware though and is defending well.

Hadley isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mejia stacks Hadley on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mejia! Mejia misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hadley takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hadley wants to control but Mejia postures up. Hadley is looking for a sweep. Hadley looking for a sweep but Mejia has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hadley slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hadley looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hadley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hadley trying to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mejia throwing strikes from guard but Hadley blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hadley is looking to regain half guard here but Mejia keeps moving and retains side control. Mejia is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hadley has escaped the position, nice work there. Hadley is trying to control Mejia's posture but Mejia avoids it. Hadley wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mejia postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Mejia scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hadley to see if he's OK. Hadley is looking for a sweep. Hadley takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hadley can do anything to dispel that myth. Mejia tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hadley is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mejia connects with a decent elbow. Hadley trying to control but Mejia flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Mejia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mejia is looking for the choke from the back position but Hadley is controlling his hands well. Mejia controlling well, preventing Hadley from escaping the position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mejia looking to break Hadley's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hadley remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Mejia will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Hadley breaks Mejia's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Mejia works over Hadley with some ground and pound from guard. Mejia lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mejia stopping the sweep attempt from Hadley. Mejia postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hadley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mejia, into his guard. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A punch combination from Hadley misses. Hadley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mejia tries to avoid it but Hadley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mejia to the ground. Mejia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hadley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rudy Mejia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight moves into the clinch position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mejia prevents a takedown attempt there.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rudy Mejia. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mejia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
