Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grady Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grady Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper fails with the takedown.
No joy there for Harper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A combination from Harper does no damage.
Harper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Harper fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Harper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harper closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Harper pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Harper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Harper persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Harper's head.
Harper shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Johnson throws a head kick that misses.
Harper takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Harper takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Harper is breathing heavily.
Harper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Johnson lands a nice hook to Harper's body. Harper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Harper. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Johnson throws a monster overhand right that drops Harper! Johnson follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grady Johnson!
