Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Hamilton (ranked 4451 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Sue (ranked 6647 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregor Hamilton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Sue!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hamilton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sue pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hamilton shoots in and drives through. Sue sprawls well.

Hamilton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hamilton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hamilton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sue keeps working.
Sue wants to get back to his feet but Hamilton drags him back down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hamilton taking a breather here.
Hamilton in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Hamilton throws a strike aimed at the side of Sue's head but Sue avoids it well.
Sue is holding Hamilton down, trying to stall.
Hamilton in side control lands a decent elbow.
Sue is pushing Hamilton's head away, looking to escape. Hamilton manages to hold on to the position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hamilton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The referee asks Hamilton politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hamilton prefers to stall for the moment though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hamilton moves into the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hamilton throws an elbow but misses.
Sue misses with a body punch.
Sue is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hamilton is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hamilton tries for a takedown but Sue manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gregor Hamilton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sue is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hamilton is defending well for now.
Hamilton is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Hamilton prevents a body shot from Sue.

Sue gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hamilton.
Hamilton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sue just stands there and leans against the cage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hamilton tries to pull guard but Sue forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Hamilton.
Sue misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Hamilton decides to pull guard.
Hamilton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hamilton throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sue wants to control from the top but Hamilton keeps moving.
Hamilton has a closed guard, preventing Sue from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice sprawl there from Sue as Hamilton shoots in.
And Sue tries to counter it with a takedown but Hamilton pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hamilton looks for a takedown but Sue sprawls well.

Hamilton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hamilton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sue to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hamilton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sue tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hamilton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hamilton shoots in looking for a takedown but Sue manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hamilton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sue let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Sue drives through and clinches with Hamilton against the cage.
Hamilton is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sue is defending well.
Hamilton is working for takedown but Sue is calmly controlling the position for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hamilton jumps guard but Sue turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Sue tries to throw a body punch but Hamilton avoids it by throwing Sue back against the cage.

Sue stops a takedown attempt from Hamilton.
Hamilton goes for a takedown attempt but Sue pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sue tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hamilton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Sue has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sue goes for a takedown attempt but Hamilton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hamilton fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hamilton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sue swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sue tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sue is trying to counter with his kicks.

Hamilton misses with a takedown

and Sue counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sue stands up from Hamilton's guard - Sue perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hamilton tries to sprawl but Sue drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Gregor Hamilton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Well, if Sue is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Hamilton wants to control but Sue passes into side.
Sue working away.

Sue has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hamilton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sue swivels and escapes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hamilton fails with the takedown.
A countering left hand to the body from Sue misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Sue showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Hamilton is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sue gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hamilton has clasped his hands together around Sue's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Sue is pushing Hamilton's head away, looking to escape. Hamilton manages to hold on to the position though.
Sue tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hamilton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sue throws Hamilton to one side and escapes!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sue has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sue lands a takedown into guard.
Hamilton striking off his back but it's not causing Sue any problems.

Hamilton has an active guard here but Sue has managed to pass into half guard.
Sue looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Sue wants to control but Hamilton is keeping him busy.
Sue has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hamilton wants to get back to full guard.

Hamilton trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Sue looking to control but Hamilton is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Sue prevents Hamilton from getting the reversal.
Hamilton is working hard here to advance position.
Hamilton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sue tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hamilton wants to hold on but Sue pushes him away.
Hamilton is desperately trying to improve his position but Sue has a good base and remains in mount.

Hamilton is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hamilton is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hamilton manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Hamilton misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Tom Sue comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sue has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
