The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fist throws a shot from downtown. Calgrand moves away and avoids it.
Calgrand throws out a counter right but Fist avoids it with no problem.
Calgrand throws a shot from downtown. Fist moves away and avoids it.
Fist cracks Calgrand with a good jab.
Calgrand moves out of range as Fist strikes.
Calgrand ducks under a wild hook from Fist.
Fist takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Calgrand uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fist.
Fist throws an off balance right hand
and Calgrand counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Fist!
Fist is trying to escape the position but Calgrand is controlling the position.

Fist is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Calgrand.

Calgrand throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fist's waist but Fist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Calgrand off to one side.
Fist could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fist throws a hook but Calgrand blocks it.

Fist throws a hook to the side of Calgrand's head but Calgrand sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fist throws the left hand but Calgrand avoids the punch easily.
Fist bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Calgrand's head.
Fist jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Calgrand lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Fist misses with a few strikes there.

Fist digs a good hook to Calgrand's body.
Fist throws a poor cross that misses
and Calgrand makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Phoenix Eye Fist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Calgrand looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fist blocks a head kick by Calgrand.
Fist was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Calgrand closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Calgrand is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Fist is surviving well by controlling Calgrand's body position as best he can.

Fist is bucking up trying to escape but Calgrand cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Calgrand has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fist's face.
Calgrand lands a big shot there that rocks Fist but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Calgrand lands a couple of good shots and Fist has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fist rolls, trying to escape but Calgrand keeps control of the position.
Calgrand has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Fist is defending well but eventually Calgrand manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Fist has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Kirk Calgrand thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
