Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Because I Can (ranked 3092 p4p, 314 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 2635 p4p, 281 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 32 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Labosky moves out of range of the strikes. Labosky feints the counter takedown. A solid leg kick lands there for Labosky.
A combination from I Can does no damage. Labosky misses with the combination.
Sloppy strikes from I Can. Those never looked like landing. Labosky keeps I Can at a distance using the push kick. I Can throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Labosky's waist but Labosky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing I Can off to one side. Labosky throws a counter combo. Labosky throws the kick towards the body but I Can avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. I Can dives in and grabs Labosky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Labosky pushes down on I Can's head and hops out. Labosky thinks about the counter body kick. Because I Can seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Labosky avoids the body shot from I Can.
Labosky has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Labosky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Labosky throws a leg kick which misses I Can's front leg but catches the back leg as I Can tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Labosky slips under a jab. Labosky throws a right and a left that I Can avoids nicely. Labosky is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. I Can looking to score a takedown here. Labosky is defending well but I Can drives through and ends up in Labosky's guard. Labosky managing to control the position. I Can trying to control but Labosky is working from the bottom. I Can tries to free his leg and advance position but Labosky is retaining full guard. I Can being controlled here momentarily. I Can won't allow Labosky to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Labosky has I Can pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. I Can throws a jab but it's blocked by Labosky. Labosky counters with a body kick. I Can shoots for a double leg takedown but Labosky sprawls well. He's pushed I Can's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Because I Can. That's going to take a lot out of him. Labosky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by I Can.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Labosky tries to land a front kick but I Can steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. I Can is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Labosky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by I Can.
I Can throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
I Can looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. As I Can backs off Labosky throws a huge counter combo but I Can manages to avoid it all. I Can misses with a wild body shot. Labosky tries to counter by closing the distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Labosky looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Labosky shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Labosky throws a lazy head kick and I Can counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Labosky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by I Can. Labosky throws the kick towards the body but I Can avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I Can shoots in looking for a takedown but Labosky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing I Can's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Labosky fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and I Can has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. I Can shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! I Can landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. I Can is controlling the pace.
Labosky is looking to get back to full guard here but I Can has managed to pass to side control instead. Labosky sneaks back into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Because I Can will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Labosky counters with a two punch combo. I Can fails with the takedown and Labosky counters with a three punch combo that has I Can backing up. I Can nods at Labosky to acknowledge the strikes. Labosky moves into the clinch successfully.

I Can has picked Labosky up - he's going for a ride! I Can dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. I Can wants to work for an arm triangle but Labosky is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
I Can is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Still in half guard, I Can seems content to control. I Can passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Labosky is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
I Can looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. I Can looking for a guillotine from mount but Labosky is having none of it. Because I Can overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Labosky tries to hold on but I Can pushes him away. I Can controlling his opponent. Labosky tries to hold on but I Can postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. I Can lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. I Can looking to control but Labosky is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. I Can throwing strikes here but Labosky is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Because I Can dominated that second round. That's time! I Can's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
I Can misses with a straight left. I Can shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Labosky but Labosky pushes him off and we're back to square one. I Can blocks the body kick.
Nice defenses there by Labosky. Labosky pushes I Can up against the cage in a clinch. Labosky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

I Can trying to control the position but Labosky is working away. Labosky wants to control but I Can postures up. Labosky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but I Can wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. I Can tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. I Can thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Labosky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with I Can. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jean Labosky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! I Can looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. I Can is staying tight to Labosky's torso, preventing him from escaping. Because I Can is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Labosky is looking to reverse the position. I Can advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. I Can controlling the position easily from mount. I Can prevents Labosky from getting the reversal. I Can breaks from Labosky's wrist control and lands an elbow. I Can thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

And that's the end of the fight! Because I Can showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for I Can, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
