Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolland Foley (ranked 5092 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Santana (ranked 4922 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rolland Foley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mario Santana! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Santana shoots in and bounces Foley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Foley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Santana trying to control the position from guard on top but Foley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santana drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Foley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santana has Foley in his guard.

 Foley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Santana is stalling in the full guard. Foley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Santana's guard.
Foley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Foley drops back looking for a leg! Santana is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santana manages to kick Foley off! Foley jumps back into Santana's guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Santana keeping moving, preventing Foley from controlling successfully. Foley stays in close to Santana's body and controls the position. Santana working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Foley.
Foley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Santana looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Santana looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Santana!

Foley throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Nice sprawl there from Foley as Santana shoots in. Foley seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Foley really is a fat lump.

Santana manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Foley on his heels. He'll look to pass Foley's guard now, I'm sure.
Foley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santana can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Santana trying to control but Foley is working from the bottom. Santana engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Santana wants to control from the top but Foley keeps moving.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Foley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Santana darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Foley misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rolland Foley will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Santana looking to sit in guard and control but Foley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Santana preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Foley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Foley postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Santana working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Foley. Foley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Santana utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Santana is breathing heavily. Santana is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Foley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Foley's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rolland Foley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Foley with a flurry of punches that miss. Foley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Foley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Foley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Santana closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Foley quickly recovers to half guard. Foley throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Foley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Foley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Santana is looking to stall here but Foley recovers full guard. Foley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Foley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Santana is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foley, into his guard.

Foley is fighting to break Santana's control of his arms but Santana is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Foley throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Foley controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Santana is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Santana is trying to control the position but Foley postures up. Santana takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Foley is stalling in the full guard.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mario Santana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santana takes a kick to the side of the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Santana with a lazy takedown attempt
and Foley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Foley is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Foley is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Santana fails with a takedown attempt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Foley as Santana shoots in. Rolland Foley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Santana. Santana darts in looking for a takedown but Foley gets double underhooks and turns Santana into the cage.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Foley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santana works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Rolland Foley showed his dominance in that final round. Well Foley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
