The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks throws a series of punches but Maestre moves out of range.
Maestre throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Banks gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Maestre scores with a crisp jab that stopped Banks in his tracks.
Luis Maestre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maestre sends Banks crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Maestre is motioning to the referee to let Banks up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maestre pounces like a tiger and cracks Banks with a vicious hook! Banks is down but not out! Maestre follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
