The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Matousek is breathing heavily.

Moore is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moore is taking a breather. Matousek says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Moore wants to work for an arm triangle but Matousek is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Moore is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Matousek can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

It looks like Moore might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moore uses his free foot to push down on Matousek's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Matousek.

Moore has control of Matousek's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Matousek regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Moore fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Matousek is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big strike lands for Moore! That's really hurt Matousek and he's turned his back - Moore keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Moore jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
