Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Emile Keith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lincoln Kyle! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kyle. It looked like Keith was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Keith dodges the punch combination from Kyle.
Keith appears to be looking for a big counter. Kyle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Keith slaps away a takedown attempt from Kyle, before circling back to the center of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kyle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Emile Keith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lincoln Kyle. Kyle dives in and scores a takedown into Keith's guard. Keith manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Keith is trying to pull guard but Kyle turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kyle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Keith walks away with a smile on his face. Kyle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kyle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Keith's waist but Keith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kyle off to one side. Kyle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Keith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kyle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Keith circles away. Kyle looks winded! Kyle fails with a takedown attempt. Keith was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Keith. Kyle does a little dance to reset his feet. Kyle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Keith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Keith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kyle. And Kyle tries to counter it with a takedown but Keith pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kyle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Keith.
Keith closes the distance and clinches. Kyle on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Keith is trying to pull guard but Kyle has him pressed against the cage. Keith jumps guard but Kyle stands there with Keith around his waist. Keith gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Keith prevents Kyle from breaking the clinch. Keith pulls guard effortlessly. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Keith is on top in guard.

Emile Keith dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kyle looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Keith appears to be looking for a big counter. Kyle looks to land a combination but Keith avoids it well. Keith throws a big counter combination but Kyle scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kyle. Kyle has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Keith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kyle can do to turn this around? Kyle goes for a double leg but Keith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Keith continues to drive forward. Kyle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Keith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keith is trying to control Kyle's posture but Kyle avoids it. Keith tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kyle presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Keith flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Keith prevents any damage by holding on tight. Keith is wriggling around trying to escape.
Keith is squirming around, avoiding Kyle's attempts to control the action. Keith is looking to improve his position but Kyle isn't that keen on the idea. Kyle tries to control but Keith wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kyle scoring with strikes but Keith is staying in there. Keith sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kyle is stalling here. Keith is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kyle seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Keith has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kyle managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Keith.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyle tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kyle is breathing heavily. Kyle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Kyle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Keith lands an elbow. Keith controls the position. Keith's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Keith lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Keith just content to control the position. Kyle is looking to regain half guard here but Keith keeps moving and retains side control. Kyle is not in a great position here, taking some shots. A lull in the action here as Keith stalls from top position. Keith has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Keith landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle clinches up with Keith and pushes him back against the cage. Keith is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kyle to keep the fight standing. Keith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kyle smiles and moves away.

Lincoln Kyle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kyle throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kyle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Keith drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kyle sprawls and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keith pushes down on Kyle's head and hops out. Emile Keith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lincoln Kyle. Kyle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Keith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Keith is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Keith closes the distance and clinches. Keith tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kyle tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Keith defends well and Kyle ends up having to push Keith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Keith is looking to counter the offense by Kyle and move into the clinch. Keith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kyle tries for a takedown but Keith circles away easily and Keith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Emile Keith is winning the standup battle so far. Kyle wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keith gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Keith tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Keith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kyle defends well. Keith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kyle is one step ahead there. Kyle wants to control from the top but Keith keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Keith swivels though and keeps the full guard. Keith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kyle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kyle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Keith pulls Kyle in close to prevent any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Keith uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Lincoln Kyle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Emile Keith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Keith slaps away a takedown attempt from Kyle, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Emile Keith showed his dominance in that final round. Well Keith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
