The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hunter throws a low kick but Hanks avoids it.
Hanks on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Hanks could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hanks closes the distance and clinches.

Hanks pulls guard effortlessly.
Hanks keeping full guard, as Hunter tries to pass.
Hanks trying to strike off his back.
Hunter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hanks wants to sweep here but Hunter controlling him for the moment.
Hanks is working hard here to advance position.

Hunter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hunter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hunter lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hunter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hunter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hunter, right into the meat.
Hunter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Hunter.
Hunter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hunter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hunter tries to keep at a distance but Hanks has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hanks moves into range and clinches up with Hunter.

Hanks jumps guard and drags Hunter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter tries to free his leg and advance position but Hanks is retaining full guard.
Hunter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hanks is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Hunter frees his head nicely. Oh but Hanks has switched to an armbar! Hunter is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
