PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crush Bandicoot (ranked 358 p4p, 47 weight class) and Juu Dyon (ranked 776 p4p, 97 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juu Dyon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandicoot misses with a lunging right hand

and Dyon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dyon.
Dyon postures up in Bandicoot's guard and throws a big left but Bandicoot blocks it.
Bandicoot keeping full guard, as Dyon tries to pass.
Dyon trying to control the position from guard on top but Bandicoot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bandicoot looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dyon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dyon throws a big right hand that misses.
Dyon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bandicoot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bandicoot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dyon is aware though and is defending well.

Dyon throwing strikes from guard but Bandicoot blocks nicely.
Dyon cracks Bandicoot with a solid left hand.

Dyon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bandicoot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dyon looking to sit in guard and control but Bandicoot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dyon looking for a guillotine here but Bandicoot defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dyon has momentary wrist control but Bandicoot slips an elbow through the middle.
Bandicoot trying to control the position from guard on top but Dyon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dyon looking for a guillotine here but Bandicoot defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dyon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bandicoot postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Dyon has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bandicoot should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Dyon has tightened it up now! Bandicoot should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
