Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heitor Machado (ranked 1263 p4p, 56 weight class) and Bishop Heahmund (ranked 6638 p4p, 229 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bishop Heahmund!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heahmund shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machado as he jumps to the side.
Machado drops down looking for a counter takedown but Heahmund sprawls and moves away.
Heahmund tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Machado was well out of range. Poor timing from Heahmund.
Machado displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Heahmund.
Machado fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Heahmund to the ground. Machado is now in Heahmund's guard.
Heahmund working for a triangle but Machado defends it easily.
Machado drops back looking for a leg! Heahmund is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Heahmund manages to kick Machado off! Machado jumps back into Heahmund's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machado is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Heahmund escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Machado is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Heahmund controls Machado momentarily but Machado frees himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Machado dives in for a single leg takedown but Heahmund sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Machado shoots in and gets a takedown into Heahmund's guard.
Heahmund is pulling down on Machado's head. It's preventing any offense from Machado, at least for the moment.

Heahmund should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Heahmund wants to hold on but Machado pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machado working for a guillotine from mount but Heahmund is in no mood to give up.
Machado is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Heahmund can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Heahmund felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Machado is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Heahmund has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heahmund shoots in looking for a takedown but Machado manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Heahmund's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machado has his foot on Heahmund's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heahmund works his way back into a safe position though.

Machado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heahmund doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heahmund manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Machado is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Heahmund defends well.
Machado is looking to cinch up a triangle. Heahmund throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Machado's body to avoid the submission. Machado has instead reached around Heahmund's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Machado arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
