Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mack Smith (ranked 3120 p4p, 288 weight class) and Dhabu Vihdonic (ranked 6100 p4p, 436 weight class). Smith's entrance music is Choices. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vihdonic throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vihdonic throws a leg kick which misses Smith's front leg but catches the back leg as Smith tries to avoid it.
Vihdonic avoids the head kick by Smith.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Vihdonic pushes him off.

and Vihdonic counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Smith needs to keep his hands up - Vihdonic had a free shot at his head there.

Vihdonic closes the distance and pushes Smith back into the ropes.

It looks like Mack Smith has been cut.
Smith tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Vihdonic lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Vihdonic lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Vihdonic - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Vihdonic gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The referee calls for Vihdonic to work.
Vihdonic lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Smith tries to land knees in the clinch but Vihdonic avoids the damage to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vihdonic has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Smith seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Vihdonic can turn it around.

Vihdonic lands an uppercut.
Vihdonic connects with a lovely elbow that drops Smith to the mat! Smith bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take a standing 8 count before we can continue.
Mack Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith walks into a big right hand from Vihdonic and goes down! The referee sends Vihdonic to a neutral corner as Smith gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Vihdonic feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Smith's calf.
Vihdonic cracks Smith with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Smith is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Smith is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
Vihdonic plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Smith to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Smith just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dhabu Vihdonic!
Dhabu Vihdonic decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
