Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexis Tucker (ranked 5040 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krylov Nurmagomedov (ranked 5045 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexis Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Krylov Nurmagomedov!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tucker has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tucker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nurmagomedov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tucker is trying to defend but Nurmagomedov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Tucker manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Nurmagomedov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Tucker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tucker drops back looking for a leg! Nurmagomedov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nurmagomedov manages to kick Tucker off! Tucker jumps back into Nurmagomedov's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tucker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nurmagomedov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Nurmagomedov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tucker was covering up waiting for the punch and Nurmagomedov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A quick step to the side and Tucker tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Tucker appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Tucker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tucker trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Nurmagomedov doesn't escape.

Nurmagomedov is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tucker gets his way!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Tucker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tucker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nurmagomedov's guard.

Tucker has clasped his hands together around Nurmagomedov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Nurmagomedov bucks up and tries to throw Tucker off but instead Tucker has got his back!

Tucker is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Tucker gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Tucker gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Tucker apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Nurmagomedov wants to clinch.

Tucker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nurmagomedov sprawls well initially but Tucker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nurmagomedov is trying to escape back to his feet but Tucker uses the scramble to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tucker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nurmagomedov, who protects the arm well.
Nurmagomedov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tucker is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Nurmagomedov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Tucker looking to control but Nurmagomedov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nurmagomedov has left one of his arms exposed and Tucker doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Nurmagomedov screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alexis Tucker!
