Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fred Antunes (ranked 5440 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Mama (ranked 5236 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Antunes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Mama! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mama fails with the takedown. Mama takes a shot right to the bread basket. Antunes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Mama manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Antunes on his heels. He'll look to pass Antunes's guard now, I'm sure. Antunes wants to get back to his feet but Mama passes into half guard.
Antunes is trying to stand up here but Mama is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mama looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Antunes is trying to stand.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Antunes wants to get back to his feet.
Mama stalling. Mama tries to pass to full mount but Antunes defends it. Mama keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Antunes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Antunes tries to kick Mama off but Mama keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Antunes pushes Mama off but Mama dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Antunes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Mama working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Antunes is pushing Mama's head away, looking to escape. Mama manages to hold on to the position though. Antunes is looking to get back to his feet here but Mama is keeping cool and he's managed to take Antunes's back. Mama is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Antunes with him. Antunes is trying to defend but Mama has an arm under the chin now! Antunes grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe Mama!
