Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ian Maan (ranked 932 p4p, 132 weight class) and Allan Kurma (ranked 1732 p4p, 234 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Someday. Allan Kurma told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maan misses with a shot to the body
and Kurma counters with a body kick that stops Maan in his tracks momentarily.
Kurma looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Kurma uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maan.
Kurma lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kurma displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maan throws out the jab.
Maan with a nice cross.
Kurma walks into a jab.
Maan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kurma on the side of the head.
Maan's corner calls for a 1-2. Maan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kurma keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maan looks to land a right hand but Kurma moved out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kurma ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maan moves away.
Maan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Maan avoids the head kick by Kurma.
Maan throws the left hand but Kurma avoids the punch easily.
Maan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kurma slips under a jab.
Maan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kurma in his tracks.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Kurma does no damage.
Kurma bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kurma is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Maan with a body shot.
Maan misses with a left hand
and Kurma counters with a body kick.
Kurma steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maan.
Maan tries for a takedown but Kurma circles away easily
and Kurma counters with a one-two to the body.
Maan throws a poor cross that misses
and Kurma counters with a head kick that drops Maan to the mat! Maan scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Maan is rocked!
A big right from Maan misses.
Kurma shapes to counter with a head kick.
Oh Maan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kurma lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Maan up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kurma from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Maan's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Allan Kurma!
