Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seung Woo Kim (ranked 2945 p4p, 321 weight class) and Juan Villa (ranked 3208 p4p, 349 weight class). The key to victory for Seung Woo Kim has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seung Woo Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Villa! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim throws a head kick that misses. Kim shoots in looking for a takedown but Villa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kim's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Villa throws a body shot but no joy. Kim drops down looking for a counter takedown but Villa sprawls and moves away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Villa. Villa lands a head kick. Kim smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Kim looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Villa has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.
Villa decides to pull guard. Villa pushes Kim off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kim misses with a takedown attempt and Villa moves into the clinch. Kim is breathing heavily. Villa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Kim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Villa on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kim trying to control but Villa flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Villa's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Kim trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Villa gets to his feet! The crowd go wild in anticipation of a knockout!
Kim throws a right hand that Villa ducks under and follows up with a left that Villa also avoids with ease. Villa tries to counter with a clinch but Kim shakes him off and moves away. Villa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Villa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Villa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Villa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Villa is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Villa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Villa stands up from guard. Let's bang! Villa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kim looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Villa stands up and beckons Kim to his feet. Villa instigates a clinch. Villa pulls guard successfully.

Villa pushes Kim off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Villa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kim tries to counter by clinching up but Villa breaks away and moves out of range. Villa has Kim up against the cage in a clinch.

Juan Villa dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Villa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Villa stands up. Villa looks for the body kick but Kim saw that one coming. Villa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Villa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kim. Despite the aggression on Villa's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Villa throws a head kick but Kim moves out of range.
Villa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Villa moves into range and clinches up with Kim. Villa has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kim is trying to keep an underhook but Villa manages to get the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Villa stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kim to get to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kim tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Villa counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Villa. Kim wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Villa manages to pass to side control.

Kim was covering up waiting for the punch and Villa finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kim wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Villa manages to pass to side control.

Villa stands up out of the half guard. Villa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kim lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Villa, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Villa against the cage but Villa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Villa swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Villa. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Villa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kim's guard. Kim is working an open guard so Villa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Villa shoots for a double leg takedown but Kim sprawls well. He's pushed Villa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kim appears to be looking for a big counter. A jab from Villa does it's job there. Kim blocks a head kick by Villa.
Villa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kim quickly recovers to half guard. Villa decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kim, pushing him back against the cage. Kim wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Juan Villa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Villa decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Villa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kim avoids it really well and circles away. Kim tries to counter by clinching up but Villa breaks away and moves out of range. Kim tries to clinch but fails miserably and Villa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kim is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Villa dives into side control.
Villa stands up and we're back to a striking position. Villa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kim to the ground. Villa is now in Kim's guard. Kim is looking to stand back up but Villa counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kim. Juan Villa has got the better of the ground game so far.

Villa stands up and waves to Kim to follow him. Villa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kim tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Villa manages to move to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villa gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Villa clinches. Kim changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Villa fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Villa feints and as Kim raises his hands in defense, Villa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action!
Villa decides to stand and escape the position. Villa moves into range and clinches up with Kim. Villa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Villa manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kim throwing strikes but missing. Villa pushes Kim off and gets back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Villa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Villa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
