Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Dee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yeah Ok! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dee moves away from the strike by Ok. Ok throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dee sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ok pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Dee attempts a counter takedown but Ok avoids it well and moves away. Ok clinches up against the cage. Ok goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dee goes for a takedown attempt but Ok pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ok throws out the jab. Dee misses with a wild body shot. Ok clinches up against the cage. Ok fails to pull guard.
Dee can't get the takedown.
Dee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dee blocks an uppercut.
Dee tries to land knees in the clinch but Ok avoids the damage to the body. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dee. Ok jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dee walks away with a smile on his face. Ok gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A big right from Ok misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Dee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dee throws a sloppy head kick and Ok moves out of range easily. Dee tries to keep at a distance but Ok has taken the fight into the clinch. Dee tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Dee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ok stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Dee breaks from the clinch.
Ok instigates a clinch. Ok jumps guard but Dee stands there with Ok around his waist. Ok gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ok pulls Dee into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dee throwing strikes from guard but Ok blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ok trying to control the position.
Ok wants to sweep here but Dee controlling him for the moment. Ok bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dee's guard. Ok sitting in guard here, content to control. Ok wants to pass the guard but Dee is keeping the position. Ok controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ok pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dee is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ok sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Ok tries to free his leg and advance position but Dee is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ok clinches up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yeah Ok dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ok misses with a lunging right hand
and Dee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ok is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dee's back! Dee is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Ok looking for the RNC. Ok has the hooks in. Dee is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ok working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Dee is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Ok has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Dee taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yeah Ok!
