Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Morales! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson instigates a clinch. Morales misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Morales. Our sources have told us that Peterson has been working on his elbows in the gym. Peterson is leaning against Morales and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Peterson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Morales's elbow. A head punch on the inside from Peterson fails to land. Peterson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Peterson throws an elbow but it's blocked.
The referee calls for Morales to work.

Peterson scores with a nice hook to the head. Peterson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Morales. Morales blocks a body shot from Peterson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morales swings wildly with an uppercut but Peterson uses good head movement to avoid it. Peterson breaks the clinch.

Peterson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Morales tries to break the clinch but Peterson is controlling the position. Peterson lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Peterson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Morales backwards. Morales misses with the head strike.

Peterson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Morales backwards. Morales tries to work over Peterson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Peterson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morales, pushing him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Peterson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Peterson works on Morales's body with a couple of short punches. Peterson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Morales is pushing Peterson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Morales tries to circle away but Peterson has him pinned against the cage. Morales can't find room to land a body shot as Peterson controls the action.
Peterson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Peterson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Morales's defenses. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Morales. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Peterson lands with a left to the head.
Morales is rocked! Morales wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson struggles to land a body shot inside as Morales controls his hands.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Peterson misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Morales is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Peterson is defending well for now. Morales misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Peterson.
Peterson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Peterson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Morales takes a swing at Peterson's ribcage but misses. Morales throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Morales looks to score with a jab to the body but Peterson is just out of range. Peterson moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Morales's face as he tries to break the clinch. Peterson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Peterson pushes Morales back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Peterson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Morales or not. Peterson slows down the pace here.
Peterson lands with a short head shot on the inside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morales is still on wobbly legs! Can Peterson finish him? Morales is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Peterson takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Morales is off balance and as he stumbles, Peterson throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Morales's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!
