Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nuri Jafar (ranked 685 p4p, 86 weight class) and Peter Manuel (ranked 610 p4p, 76 weight class). Nuri Jafar has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nuri Jafar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Manuel! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manuel tries to clinch up but Jafar circles away and keeps his distance. Jafar missing with a left hand there. Manuel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. And Manuel tries to counter it with a takedown but Jafar pushes his down on his head and steps out. Manuel throws a jab when Jafar was well out of range. Jafar misses with a straight left. Manuel staying out of range there. Manuel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jafar's guard. Jafar is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Manuel presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Manuel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Manuel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Manuel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jafar is aware though and is defending well. Manuel can't keep his opponent in guard - Jafar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jafar wants to control but Manuel is keeping him busy. Jafar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Manuel is looking to control Jafar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Manuel avoid being mounted? Jafar trying to control the action but Manuel is working from the bottom. Manuel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jafar pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manuel wants to improve his position but Jafar is controlling well.
Jafar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jafar continues to stall. Jafar decides to stand and escape the position. Jafar takes a swing at Manuel's ribcage but misses. Peter Manuel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jafar looks to throw the jab but Manuel is out of range. Manuel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. An attempted straight right counter from Jafar misses the target. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Manuel, as that shot connected.
Nice uppercut lands for Jafar. That snapped Manuel's head back.
Jafar swings for the body but Manuel moves out of range.
Manuel feints the counter takedown. Jafar throws a body punch but Manuel moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manuel scores with a punch to the head. Manuel takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Jafar tries to clinch there but Manuel circles away.
Jafar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manuel manages to avoid it. Jafar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Manuel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Manuel feints the counter takedown. Manuel tries to close the distance and clinch but Jafar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Manuel connects with a looping right hand.
We've been informed that Manuel has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Manuel throws a hook to the side of Jafar's head but Jafar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. This has been an exciting period of action! Jafar avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jafar swings for the body but Manuel moves out of range.
Jafar lands a really nice looking cross but Manuel seems unphased.
Manuel changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Manuel moves out of range of the strikes. Jafar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Manuel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Manuel throws an overhand right that lands on Jafar's shoulder, as Jafar tries to avoid the shot. Jafar throws a looping overhand right but Manuel ducks down to avoid it. Manuel clinches up against the cage. Manuel jumps guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jafar wants to control from the top but Manuel keeps moving. Manuel keeping full guard, as Jafar tries to pass. Jafar wants to get up but he can't break Manuel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Manuel working for a triangle but Jafar defends it easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jafar wanted to stand there but Manuel had control of the position. Jafar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jafar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jafar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Manuel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jafar defends well. Jafar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Manuel is proving hard to escape from. Jafar's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jafar trying to control but Manuel is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jafar gets to his feet. Manuel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Manuel throws a quick inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peter Manuel will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Manuel misses with a hook. Jafar ducked under it nicely. Nuri Jafar is winning the standup battle so far. Manuel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jafar. Jafar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Manuel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jafar but Jafar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Manuel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Peter Manuel has got the better of the ground game so far. Jafar kicks off Manuel and gets to his feet. Jafar throws a shot to the body.
Jafar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Manuel. Manuel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jafar wants to get back to his feet but Manuel is dominant here and he's now got Jafar's back! This has been an exciting period of action! Jafar trying to control the hands but Manuel breaks the grip. You can see the frustration on Jafar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manuel is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Jafar prevents Manuel from getting a body triangle. Manuel has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jafar has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jafar turns into Manuel and is now in his guard.

Manuel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jafar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jafar wants to control from the top but Manuel keeps moving. Jafar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manuel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Manuel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jafar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jafar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jafar stands up and waves to Manuel to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manuel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jafar lands a jab to the head.
Manuel moves into the clinch. Jafar misses with a punch to the body.
Jafar lands a right hand. Manuel is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jafar pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nuri Jafar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Manuel. Jafar lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Jafar is fighting off a takedown attempt but Manuel is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jafar to the mat. Jafar regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Manuel won't allow Jafar to get back to his feet. Jafar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Manuel manages to get himself to full guard.
Jafar gets to his feet - Manuel follows without any prompting. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Manuel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jafar but Jafar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Jafar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Manuel doesn't seem phased though. Manuel closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jafar's guard. Manuel trying to control the position from guard on top but Jafar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jafar is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Jafar blocks a body shot from Manuel. Jafar tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Manuel's elbow. Jafar prevents the takedown attempt.
Manuel gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jafar wants to get back to his feet.

Nuri Jafar dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Jafar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Manuel misses with an uppercut. Good leg kick by Manuel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jafar checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Manuel moves forwards but Jafar connects with a nice, crisp jab. Manuel throws an overhand right that lands on Jafar's shoulder, as Jafar tries to avoid the shot. Jafar throws the left hand but Manuel avoids the punch easily. Jafar darts in and clinches Manuel up against the cage. Jafar softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Manuel manages to break the clinch.
Jafar misses with a hook. Manuel ducked under it nicely. Manuel misses with an uppercut. Manuel moves into range and connects with a jab. Manuel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jafar ducks under a wild hook from Manuel. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manuel lands a jab to Jafar's midsection. Manuel connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jafar throws a lazy right hand but Manuel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Manuel misses with a low kick.
A quick step to the side and Jafar tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manuel throws a leg kick but Jafar sees it coming and checks it nicely. Manuel wants to clinch. Jafar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Manuel. A little feinted left hand from Jafar on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jafar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Manuel drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jafar defends it well. Jafar circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Jafar was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Manuel. Jafar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Horrible takedown attempt by Manuel or perhaps it was just good defense by Jafar, which made it look bad. Manuel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jafar.
Jafar misses with an uppercut. Manuel saw that one coming. Manuel loads up on a big right hand but Jafar slips the punch. Manuel shoots in looking for a takedown. Jafar tries to sprawl out of it but Manuel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jafar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nuri Jafar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Manuel. Manuel misses with a wild combination.

Manuel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jafar's waist but Jafar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manuel off to one side. Jafar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manuel manages to avoid it. Jab from Jafar. Manuel slips under a jab from Jafar. Manuel throws a low kick, looking for Jafar's leg but Jafar calmly moves out of range. Jafar connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jafar gets caught napping as Manuel dives in and scores a takedown. Jafar manages to retain guard. Jafar wants to get back to his feet but Manuel passes into half guard.

He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Manuel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jafar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Manuel is trying to escape the position but Jafar is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jafar trying to control the position but Manuel is working away. Jafar decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jafar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Manuel shoots in for a takedown but Jafar shows good takedown defense. Jafar is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Jafar closes the distance and clinches. Manuel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jafar walks away with a smile on his face. Manuel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jafar moves into range and connects with a jab. Manuel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jafar scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Manuel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Manuel throws a jab when Jafar was well out of range. Nice jab there from Jafar. Jafar looks to land a right hand but Manuel moved out of range. Manuel misses with a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jafar throws a hook but Manuel blocks it. Manuel changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jafar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Manuel can do to turn this around? Jafar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Manuel at a distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Nuri Jafar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jafar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
