Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
39 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chinless Mcgee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Troy Anselmo! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Mcgee does no damage. Anselmo tries a head kick but it misses.
Anselmo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mcgee is landing a low percentage of strikes. Mcgee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Anselmo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Mcgee! Anselmo lets Mcgee back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Mcgee is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed right hand from Anselmo misses the target. Mcgee half committed to a counter leg kick. Oh Mcgee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Anselmo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Anselmo loads up on a big right hand but Mcgee slips the punch. Mcgee seems to have got his legs back now. Mcgee lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A telegraphed right hand from Anselmo misses the target. Anselmo slips under a jab from Mcgee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anselmo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Mcgee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Anselmo. Mcgee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Anselmo throws a big shot that misses. Mcgee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Anselmo. Anselmo misses with a hook. Mcgee ducked under it nicely. Anselmo with a nice cross. A telegraphed right hand from Mcgee misses the target. Chinless Mcgee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcgee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Anselmo misses with a left hand and Mcgee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Anselmo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgee throws a head kick that misses and Anselmo counters with a stiff right hand. Anselmo throws a lazy right hand but Mcgee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Anselmo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mcgee lands with a cross. Sloppy strikes from Mcgee. Those never looked like landing. The crowd cheers as Mcgee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Anselmo doesn't seem phased though. Mcgee ducks under a wild hook from Anselmo. Anselmo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgee cracks Anselmo with an open hand slap. Anselmo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mcgee sprawling to the canvas! Mcgee rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Anselmo finish him?!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mcgee lands with a right hand. Anselmo cracks Mcgee with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Anselmo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mcgee to stand back up! Mcgee gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Anselmo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Troy Anselmo! An out of breath Troy Anselmo thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
