Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Antonio Camatta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Agustin Benitez! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camatta shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Benitez defends it nicely. Benitez tries to clinch there but Camatta circles away.
Camatta drives through with a takedown into guard. Benitez wants to stand up but Camatta is controlling him. Camatta controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Camatta looking to pass the guard. Camatta controlling from the top position.

Camatta closes the distance and clinches up with Benitez, looking for a takedown. Camatta pushes Benitez against the cage but Benitez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Benitez moves into range and clinches up with Camatta. Benitez lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Camatta backwards. Still in the clinch, Benitez scores with a nice short uppercut. Benitez is looking to control Camatta's arms but Camatta gets an underhook and turns him. Now Benitez has his back to the cage.

Camatta has hold of one of Benitez's legs. Benitez is fighting the takedown attempt but Camatta gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Benitez wants to stand up but Camatta is controlling him. Camatta trying to control the position from guard on top but Benitez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Benitez wants to stand and escape but Camatta is having none of it. Camatta slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Camatta trying to control but Benitez is working from the bottom. Camatta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Benitez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Camatta somewhat. Nice sprawl there from Benitez as Camatta shoots in. Benitez let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Benitez stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Camatta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Benitez tries to close the distance and clinch but Camatta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Benitez gets caught flat footed, as Camatta shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Benitez scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A nice right hand lands inside from Benitez. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Benitez lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Benitez misses with some punches.
Camatta has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Benitez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Benitez leaning against his opponent.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Benitez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Benitez tries to stall but Camatta uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Benitez pushes Camatta back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Camatta is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Benitez pulls him back up using the underhooks. Benitez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Camatta has Benitez pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Benitez manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Camatta is trying to drag Benitez to the mat but Benitez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Benitez is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Camatta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Benitez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Benitez is trying to get back to his feet. Camatta taking a breather here. Benitez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Camatta has just dragged him back down to the mat.
