The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith throws a jab when Boagrius was well out of range.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
Smith misses with a left hand
enabling Boagrius to counter with a crisp jab.
Boagrius darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Smith throws a right hand that Boagrius ducks under and follows up with a left that Boagrius also avoids with ease.
Boagrius looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Boagrius misses the jab.
Smith went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Boagrius moves out of range as Smith throws a body kick.
Smith misses with a right hand
and Boagrius counters with a straight right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Boagrius moved out of range nicely.
Boagrius pounces like a tiger and cracks Smith with a vicious hook! Smith is down but not out! Boagrius follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Orpheus Boagrius!
