Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calvin Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Saxxon! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saxxon is looking to chop away at Carr's legs. Saxxon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carr. Saxxon throws a leg kick but Carr checks it. Carr goes for a double leg but Saxxon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Saxxon continues to drive forward. Saxxon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saxxon throws a sloppy head kick and Carr moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from Saxxon. Carr seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Saxxon throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Carr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Saxxon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saxxon dips to his left and cracks Carr with an uppercut! Saxxon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Saxxon leaves Carr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calvin Carr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saxxon throws a head kick that misses. It looked like Carr was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Saxxon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Carr avoids a punch combination nicely.

Saxxon misses with a hook to the body
and Carr counters with a one-two to the body. Carr misses with a takedown attempt and Saxxon counters with a two punch combo. Saxxon sizes up Carr with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Carr with a poor takedown and Saxxon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Carr shoots in and drives through. Saxxon sprawls well. A head kick misses from Saxxon. Carr attempts a counter takedown but Saxxon avoids it well and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carr on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Carr with a poor takedown and Saxxon counters with a left to the body. Greg Saxxon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A solid body kick from Saxxon. Carr is breathing heavily. Saxxon circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Carr drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Saxxon follows Carr to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
