Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Ghouti (ranked 5375 p4p, 119 weight class) and Valar Dohaeris (ranked 4980 p4p, 117 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dohaeris throws a head kick but Ghouti moves out of range.

and Ghouti decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dohaeris's guard.
Ghouti is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ghouti's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Ghouti is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dohaeris is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ghouti works to advance to full mount. Dohaeris defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Ghouti is stinking the place up with his stalling.

BOOM! Ghouti connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Ghouti is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dohaeris can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
