Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greg Hunlin (ranked 3282 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarco Johannsen (ranked 2267 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Greg Hunlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Demarco Johannsen!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johannsen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hunlin was covering up waiting for the punch and Johannsen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johannsen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunlin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johannsen with a nice head shot there.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johannsen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Johannsen controls from within his opponent's guard.

Hunlin trying to keep a closed guard but Johannsen is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunlin wants to sweep but no luck.
Johannsen engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Hunlin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hunlin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johannsen manages to get himself to full guard.

Johannsen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johannsen is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunlin wants to stand but Johannsen is controlling the position.
Johannsen is in close to Hunlin's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hunlin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johannsen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johannsen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Johannsen slips nicely into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Johannsen connects with a nice short shot to Hunlin's temple.

Hunlin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johannsen is working away from the top position though.
Hunlin is trying to get back to full guard.
Johannsen wants to take a breather but Hunlin is having none of it.

Johannsen scores with a big shot! Hunlin's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Hunlin! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
