Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murilo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lloyd Budgell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar comes to the cage accompanied by Cute Without the E. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Murilo Escobar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lloyd Budgell! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Budgell stuffs the takedown attempt from Escobar. Escobar gets slowly back to his feet. Budgell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Escobar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Budgell won't be happy with that. Escobar passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Budgell! Budgell is looking to improve his position but Escobar isn't that keen on the idea. Budgell manages to regain half guard. Good work. Budgell actively working from the bottom here. Budgell is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Escobar pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Budgell is trying to get back to full guard. Escobar wants to free his trapped foot but Budgell is holding on for dear life with his legs. Budgell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Budgell is not content to let Escobar control the position. Escobar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Escobar is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Budgell with a lazy takedown attempt and Escobar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Budgell's guard. Escobar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Budgell on the ground. Escobar trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Budgell manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Budgell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Escobar is keeping the position for now. Budgell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Budgell looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Budgell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Escobar swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Escobar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Budgell passes Escobar's left leg - he's now in half guard. Escobar trying to control from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Escobar throws a right hand that Budgell ducks under and follows up with a left that Budgell also avoids with ease. Budgell shoots and misses and Escobar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Budgell won't be happy with that. Murilo Escobar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lloyd Budgell. Budgell tries to get back to half guard but can't. Budgell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Escobar's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Budgell manages to get to full guard.
Escobar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Budgell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Budgell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Escobar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Escobar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Budgell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Budgell working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Escobar has passed into half guard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Budgell missing with punches from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Budgell moves into full guard.
Budgell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Budgell in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Escobar tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Budgell!
