Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hassan The Hatchet (ranked 3360 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Efremov (ranked 4374 p4p, 0 weight class). The Hatchet comes to the cage accompanied by Hed PE Renegade. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Efremov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Hatchet tries to keep at a distance but Efremov has taken the fight into the clinch.
The Hatchet is defending well against a takedown attempt.

The Hatchet lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The Hatchet wants to control but Efremov is keeping him busy.
Efremov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but The Hatchet scores with a couple of nice shots.
Efremov tries to roll over but The Hatchet keeps him under control.
The Hatchet throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Hatchet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The Hatchet takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Efremov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The Hatchet wants to stand and escape but Efremov is having none of it.
Efremov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Efremov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but The Hatchet wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Efremov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked The Hatchet off and has taken his back!

Efremov seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under The Hatchet's chin but The Hatchet turns very nicely into Efremov's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by The Hatchet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The Hatchet shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Efremov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Efremov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Efremov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Hatchet can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Efremov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The Hatchet had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Efremov defends it easily.
We've been informed that Efremov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The Hatchet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
