Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Ingram (ranked 24839 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Scott (ranked 5848 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter Ingram has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dexter Ingram! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Scott! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ron Honeybunn and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Ingram is trying to pull guard but Scott turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Scott gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ingram.
Ingram decides to pull guard. Scott working some strikes from top position. Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Scott seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ingram trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ingram has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Ingram's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ingram trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Scott wants to control from the top but Ingram keeps moving. Scott with a nice head shot there. Ingram throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Ingram is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ingram wants to stand up but Scott is controlling him. Scott content to stall in guard here. Ingram has his foot on Scott's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scott works his way back into a safe position though. Scott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ingram is keeping the position for now. Ingram looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Scott passes into half guard.
Ingram is in trouble now - Scott has advanced to mount! Ingram is squirming around, avoiding Scott's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott wants to finish this one by submission but Ingram is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Scott. Ingram is working to get back to half guard.
Scott trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ingram is in all sorts of trouble here.
A nice elbow there by Scott. Ingram is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Scott gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Ingram chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scott can pounce on him.
Scott tries to clinch up but Ingram circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott thows a body kick. Ingram tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ingram is breathing heavily. Ingram shoots in for a takedown but Scott shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Ingram. That's going to take a lot out of him. Scott gets the takedown into side control. Scott stands up and we're back to a striking position. Scott clinches. Scott creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ingram's defenses.
It looks like Dexter Ingram has been cut. Scott manages to break the clinch.
Scott rushes Ingram and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ingram fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Scott has hold of one of Ingram's legs. Ingram is fighting the takedown attempt but Scott gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ingram throws his legs up looking for a submission but Scott uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott stands up. Ingram rushes Scott and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ingram is trying to pull guard but Scott has him pressed against the cage. Ingram jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Scott walks away with a smile on his face. Ingram gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Scott drives through with a takedown into Ingram's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Ingram wants to get back to his feet but Scott passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scott takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Scott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Scott winds up and cracks Ingram with a swinging punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Scott dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dexter Ingram's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Scott dives in and scores a takedown into Ingram's guard. Ingram has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ingram isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Scott stacks Ingram on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Scott! Ingram is trying to buck Scott off. Scott is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ingram is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott scores with punches from side control. Ingram seems a little lost for a moment, as Scott dominates the positioning. Ingram is pushing Scott's head away, looking to escape. Scott manages to hold on to the position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott advances to full mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ingram tries to improve his position but instead Scott has taken his back! Ingram is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Scott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Scott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Scott working the ground and pound.
Ingram is rocked! Ingram really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Scott advances nicely into full mount. Oh Ingram is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Scott tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ingram seems to have got his legs back now. Ingram wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Scott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ingram is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scott scoring with strikes but Ingram is staying in there. Scott has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ingram's face.
Ingram is mounted but he's throwing punches. Ingram is trying to stand up. Scott wants to control the pace but Ingram is squirming around nicely. Peter Scott has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee warns Ingram that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Scott has control of Ingram's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ingram regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ingram bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Scott is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ingram won't allow Scott to sweep him here. Ingram stands up from guard. Let's bang! Scott swats away the attempt to clinch by Ingram. Ingram drives through and clinches with Scott against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott is working an open guard so Ingram takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ingram tries to clinch up but Scott circles away and keeps his distance. Ingram gets caught flat footed, as Scott shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ingram has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Scott has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scott gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ingram wants to get back to his feet. Ingram works his way to full guard. Good work. Scott scoring with some ground and pound. Ingram throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Scott is in close to Ingram's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ingram will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ingram is looking to stand up but Scott isn't so interested in that idea. Scott has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Scott's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dexter Ingram's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Scott throws a combination that misses and Ingram counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Ingram moves into the clinch successfully.

Ingram is looking to stand back up but Scott counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ingram. Ingram wants to get back to his feet. Ingram looking for a kimura from the bottom but Scott passes into side control! Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ingram keeps working. Ingram regains half guard. Scott works his way into side control. You can see the frustration on Ingram's face as Scott controls the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scott scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ingram to see if he's OK. Ingram gets back to half guard. Scott seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Scott frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ingram tries to improve his position but instead Scott has taken his back!

Scott is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ingram knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ingram for a finish. Scott looking for the choke from the back. Ingram is trying to get back to his feet but Scott has full control of the position and if anything, Ingram has just worked his way into a worse spot. Scott tightening his grip on Ingram, looking for the choke. Scott has his opponent's back but Ingram is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Scott.

Scott shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ingram pushes Scott off and gets back to his feet. Ingram tries to clinch but Scott moves out of range. Scott controls Ingram momentarily but Ingram frees himself. Ingram stands up and waves to Scott to follow him. Ingram closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dexter Ingram has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Peter Scott is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ingram lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Scott or not.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Peter Scott. I've got Scott winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
