3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Red Jackson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jackson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jackson tightens his grip and picks Roy up, before dumping him to the ground. Roy manages to land in guard. Jackson pushing down on Roy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Roy is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Roy keeping hold of Jackson's head, controlling as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson trying to control from Roy's half guard. Roy has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Roy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Roy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jackson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Roy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Roy tries to stand but Jackson is controlling from the bottom. Roy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Roy stands up and waves to Jackson to follow him. Jackson moves into range and clinches up with Roy. Roy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jackson is trying to escape back to his feet but Roy uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Roy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jackson misses with a strike from the bottom. Jackson is looking for a sweep. Roy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jackson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Roy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Roy holds on and takes a little breather. Roy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Red Jackson dominated that round. That's time! Roy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Roy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson. Roy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Jackson misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Richard Roy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Jackson. Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Roy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Roy lands a jab to the nose. Roy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roy working some strikes from top position. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Roy sprawls well. Roy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet. Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Roy shows good takedown defense. Jackson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Roy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Roy working the head and body with strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roy goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jackson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Roy's guard! Nice work there by Jackson! Jackson tries to buck Roy off but Roy is having none of it. Roy stands up. Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A little feinted left hand from Roy on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jackson misses with a takedown and Roy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jackson throws a hook to the side of Roy's head but Roy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Roy pulls guard effortlessly. Roy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Roy keeping full guard, as Jackson tries to pass. Roy managing to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Roy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.
Jackson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Roy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Roy's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jackson is working an open guard so Roy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jackson gets a clinch. Roy pulls guard. Roy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Roy showed his dominance in that final round. I think Roy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
