PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ute Ility (ranked 5047 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Drago (ranked 24591 p4p, 0 weight class). Ility's entrance music is Hey Dude. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ility stuffs the takedown attempt from Drago. Drago gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Drago or perhaps it was just good defense by Ility, which made it look bad.
Drago walks into a left hand.
Ility scores with a jab to the jaw.

Ility has Drago up against the cage in a clinch.
Nice body punch from Ility - that landed with a thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ility lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Drago drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ute Ility has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Drago.
Ility stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Still in the clinch, Ility scores with a nice short uppercut.

Ility gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Drago wants to sweep here but Ility controlling him for the moment.

Ility got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drago has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ility has managed to get both his arms back between Drago's legs - danger averted.
Ility is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Ility has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Ility.

Ility is in close to Drago's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Drago looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ility is one step ahead there.
Ility is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Drago can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ility controls the pace.

Ility is pushing down on Drago's leg trying to pass to half guard. Drago is fighting to maintain full guard but Ility has managed to sneak the leg through.

Drago looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ility is taking a breather. Drago says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ility jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ility connects with a good right hand that stumbles Drago. Drago circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Drago walks into a jab.

Ility closes the distance and clinches.

Ility breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ility has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drago lands a good knee to the midsection. Ility won't want to take too many of those.
Ility is struggling to control the position.
Drago is looking to break free of the clinch but Ility has double underhooks.

Drago misses with a takedown attempt - Ility sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Drago can't find room to land a body shot as Ility controls the action.

Ility has picked Drago up - he's going for a ride! Ility dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Drago is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ility fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ute Ility overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ility has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Drago's face.

Drago is rocked!
Ility looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Drago covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ute Ility spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
