PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bobberson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Jeantet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dennis Jeantet was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Bobberson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Jeantet!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeantet shoots in for a takedown but Bobberson shows good takedown defense.
Jeantet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jeantet looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jeantet is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jeantet misses with a double jab.
Jeantet looks to land a body kick but Bobberson moved away.

Bobberson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bobberson pushes down on Jeantet's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jeantet strikes from the bottom but Bobberson uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Jeantet tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bobberson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jeantet!
Bobberson wants to control the pace but Jeantet is squirming around nicely.

Jeantet wants to control but Bobberson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jeantet is trying to escape the mount.
Jeantet tries to hold on but Bobberson postures up.

Bobberson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jeantet is surviving well by controlling Bobberson's body position as best he can.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jeantet tries to lock up and control but Bobberson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jeantet is working to get back to half guard.
Bobberson controlling his opponent.
Jeantet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bobberson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jeantet wants to control but Bobberson is having none of it.

Bobberson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Bobberson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jeantet's guard.

Bobberson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bobberson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jeantet is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
