Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Jackson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Ken Ferrera!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a combination

and Ferrera counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Ferrera is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.
Well, if Ferrera is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
It looks like Ferrera is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ferrera blocks the strikes from Jackson .

Ferrera throwing shots but Jackson is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
Ferrera seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Ferrera.
Ferrera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jackson pushes Ferrera off looking to stand but Ferrera dives back in and keeps control.
Ferrera prevents Jackson from improving his position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ferrera is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Ferrera sprawls well.
Ferrera shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.
Jackson fails with the takedown.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ferrera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.

Ferrera pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ferrera pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ferrera clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ferrera just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ferrera goes for a takedown attempt but Jackson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ferrera closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
You can see the frustration on Jackson 's face as Ferrera controls the position.
Ferrera tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ferrera landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Ferrera decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jackson to his feet.
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jackson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ferrera misses with a head kick.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Ferrera circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Ferrera dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ferrera avoids it really well and circles away.

Ferrera closes the distance and clinches.
Ferrera pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ferrera walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson .
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hunter Jackson . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ferrera scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Hunter Jackson has been cut.

Ferrera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferrera gets slowly back to his feet.
Jackson goes for a double leg but Ferrera avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ferrera continues to drive forward.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Ferrera sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ferrera misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ferrera clinches with his opponent.

Ferrera manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Ferrera with that takedown attempt.

Ferrera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ferrera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jackson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Ferrera is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ferrera is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jackson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ferrera lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Jackson tries to hold on but Ferrera postures up.
Jackson is in a horrible position here. Ferrera smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ferrera connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ferrera sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Ferrera controlling the pace for now.

Ferrera can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ferrera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson 's guard.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ferrera gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.

Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Ferrera shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Ferrera passes into half guard.


Ferrera is trying to work for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.

Ferrera slows the pace down in half guard.
Ken Ferrera has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ferrera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ferrera is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ferrera has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jackson defend it? Ferrera steps over the head and cranks it - Jackson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ferrera!
