PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Hamilton (ranked 4838 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archibald Lee (ranked 24889 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hamilton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hamilton remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hamilton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lee has managed to get both his arms back between Hamilton's legs - danger averted.

Lee shoots in for a double leg but Hamilton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
