Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bung Popper (ranked 1790 p4p, 223 weight class) and Guido Turturro (ranked 1184 p4p, 152 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bung Popper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guido Turturro! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turturro tries to clinch up but Popper circles away and keeps his distance. Turturro rushes Popper and presses him up against the cage. Popper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Popper moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Guido Turturro has been cut. Turturro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Popper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Popper was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Popper circles away from the clinch attempt.
Turturro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Popper swats him away and circles back towards the center. Turturro is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Turturro moves into range and clinches up with Popper. Turturro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Popper walks away with a smile on his face. Turturro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Turturro moves into the clinch. Turturro tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Turturro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Popper just stands there and leans against the cage. Bung Popper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guido Turturro. Turturro is trying to pull guard but Popper turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Popper wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Popper working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Popper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turturro gets a clinch. Popper tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Turturro's elbow. Turturro tries to pull guard but Popper holds him up against the cage and eventually Turturro drops back down to his feet.

Popper connects with a leg kick. Turturro looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Turturro wants to clinch but Popper slips to the side and Popper counters with a nice leg kick. Popper avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Popper jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Popper scores with a crisp jab that stopped Turturro in his tracks. Turturro moves into the clinch successfully.
Turturro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Popper just stands there and leans against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Popper. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Popper lands a right hand that snaps the head of Turturro backwards. Popper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turturro wants to clinch but Popper slips to the side and Popper counters with a lovely straight right hand! Popper jabs Turturro right on the nose. Turturro blinks but takes it well. Turturro tries to clinch but fails miserably and Popper counters with a nice body shot. Popper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Turturro. That did some damage! Popper throws a nice outside leg kick. Turturro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Popper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Turturro gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Turturro jumps guard but Popper turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Turturro tries to pull guard but Popper holds him up against the cage and eventually Turturro drops back down to his feet.
Turturro gets control of Popper's arms and successfully pulls guard. Turturro will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Popper controlling from the top position. Popper looking to pass the guard. Popper is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Turturro has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Popper is looking to defend but Turturro has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Popper! Turturro pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Popper taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Guido Turturro! A relieved looking Guido Turturro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
