Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christoph Columbus (ranked 2209 p4p, 220 weight class) and Beef Stew (ranked 1381 p4p, 151 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Christoph Columbus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beef Stew! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Columbus lands with an overhand left. Stew misses with a looping left. Columbus wants to clinch. Columbus wants to clinch but Stew slips to the side and Stew counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jab, jab by Stew - just one landing. Columbus throws a shot from downtown. Stew moves away and avoids it. Stew keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Columbus. Stew tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Columbus is looking to counter the offense by Stew and move into the clinch. Good shot there by Stew. Stew lands with a shot to the body. Columbus tries to clinch up. Stew lands a slapping body shot.
Stew moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stew connects with the punch. Columbus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stew moves away. Columbus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stew stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Stew throws a body punch but Columbus moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stew scores with a one two! Columbus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Stew lands a jab to the head.
Stew connects with a jab. Columbus throws a big shot that misses. Columbus doesn't manage to clinch there - Stew circles away.
Stew throws a shot from downtown. Columbus moves away and avoids it. Columbus moves into range and connects with a jab. Stew lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Stew throws a big shot that misses. Columbus is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Stew. Stew jabs at Columbus's body. Columbus wants to clinch up but Stew keeps it at a distance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Columbus walks into a left hand. Columbus throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Stew counters with a nice leg kick. Stew swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stew gets tackled into the cage by Columbus. Columbus maintains the clinch. Still in the clinch, Stew scores with a nice short uppercut. Stew manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Columbus tries to clinch but Stew moves away and Stew counters with a solid body kick. Stew plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Columbus scores with a jab. Stew acknowledges it with a nod of the head. The fight stays on the outside here - Columbus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Columbus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stew moves away. Stew cracks the inside of Columbus's front leg. Stew paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Stew throws a lazy right hand but Columbus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Columbus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stew finds it's way round the side to connect with Columbus's head. Columbus moves forwards but Stew connects with a nice, crisp jab. Stew throws a looping overhand right but Columbus ducks down to avoid it. Columbus moves in looking to clinch but Stew pushes him off. Nice uppercut there from Stew. Columbus tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Stew counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stew fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Columbus. Columbus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stew connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Columbus scrambles back to his feet. A jab from Stew misses. Stew has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Columbus misses with a lunging right hand
and Stew counters with a right hand to the body. Stew lands a nice shot to the body.
Stew slips a jab from Columbus. Columbus tries to clinch but Stew is having none of it. Stew looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Columbus tries to clinch but Stew moves out of range. Stew tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Columbus was well out of range. Poor timing from Stew. A nice inside leg kick there by Stew. That's going to slow Columbus down. Stew slips a straight right by Columbus. Stew lands with an uppercut that bounces Columbus off the cage and back into range. Columbus throws a big shot that misses. Stew smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A lazy left from Stew finds it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Columbus misses the target. Columbus checks the leg kick nicely there.
Columbus looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Columbus slips a straight right by Stew. Stew scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A punch lands to the side of Columbus 's head but he takes it in his stride. Columbus takes one to the side of the head.
Stew bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Columbus's head. Stew tries to bum rush Columbus with a series of wild strikes but Columbus uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Columbus checks the leg kick. Stew throws out a leg kick but Columbus moves out of range and Stew only half commits. Columbus darts in and clinches Stew up against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Columbus keeps control of Stew as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Stew is leaning against Columbus and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Columbus is breathing heavily. Stew breaks the clinch.
Columbus looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Columbus takes one to the side of the head.
Stew connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Columbus momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Beef Stew dominated that round. That's time! Columbus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Stew misses the jab. Columbus is looking to counter the offense by Stew and move into the clinch. Columbus closes the distance looking to clinch and Stew connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stew scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Columbus clinches up with Stew and pushes him back against the cage. A body shot lands from Stew.
Stew lands a shot to the body. Columbus's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Stew breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Columbus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stew turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stew fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Columbus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Columbus throws a jab but it's blocked by Stew. Stew was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Stew dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Columbus. That did some damage! Stew scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Beef Stew seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stew connects with a good right hand that stumbles Columbus. Columbus circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Stew throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Columbus lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Columbus wants to clinch. Stew tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Columbus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A slow jab from Columbus misses its intended target. Stew has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Columbus wants to clinch but Stew slips to the side and Stew counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Stew ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Stew tests Columbus's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Columbus tries to move into range but Stew moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Columbus rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Stew counter with a right hand. The fight stays on the outside here - Columbus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stew is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Stew connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Columbus is rocked! Columbus avoids the head kick by Stew.

Oh Columbus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Columbus throws a hook but Stew avoids it easily. Columbus moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Stew digs a good hook to Columbus's body.
Columbus seems to have got his legs back now. Columbus tries to clinch there but Stew circles away.
Columbus is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Columbus on the wrong end of a nice hook. Columbus moves in looking to clinch but Stew pushes him off.

Stew scores with a hook. Columbus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stew. A good leg kick by Stew. Columbus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stew manages to avoid it. Stew dodges the punch combination from Columbus.
Stew cracks a nice hook into Columbus's ribs. Columbus gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stew. Stew buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stew throws a good cross that connects.
Columbus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fighters circle momentarily. Stew darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A shot to the body from Columbus misses and Stew cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Columbus throws a lazy right hand but Stew sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Stew lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Stew throws a wild body kick that Columbus sees coming a mile off. Stew keeps the fight on the outside. Columbus takes one to the chin there. Columbus walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stew. Stew scoring well with a low kick there.
Stew moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Columbus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Donk. Stew catches Columbus right on the button with a cross. Stew scores with a decent looking hook. Columbus wants to clinch and Stew counters with a big right hand! Oh Columbus is in trouble here! Stew follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
