Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asher Wright (ranked 6459 p4p, 489 weight class) and Ivar Lothbrok (ranked 4280 p4p, 416 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright looks to throw the jab but Lothbrok is out of range.
Wright's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lothbrok under the eye.

Lothbrok darts in and clinches Wright up against the cage.
Wright wants to get back to striking at distance but Lothbrok won't allow it.

Wright scores with a sloppy right hand. Lothbrok should have avoided that one.
Lothbrok drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Wright is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lothbrok avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Lothbrok misses.
Lothbrok wants to clinch up but Wright keeps it at a distance.
Wright is looking to counter punch.

and Wright makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lothbrok moves out of range as Wright strikes.
Lothbrok ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wright misses the jab.
Wright swings for the body but Lothbrok moves out of range.
Wright lands with a cross.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lothbrok throws a body shot but no joy.
Lothbrok looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wright seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Lothbrok closes the distance and pushes Wright back into the cage.
Wright wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lothbrok tries to pull guard but Wright forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Wright looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Asher Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivar Lothbrok.
Wright wants to get back to striking at distance but Lothbrok won't allow it.

Lothbrok looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wright is defending well. Lothbrok quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wright has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lothbrok celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
