Brown 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Michael Jackson- Don't stop til you get enough. Whittman has chosen Best Day Ever-Mac Miller as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whittman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Whittman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown avoids the head kick by Whittman.
Brown feinted with a counter takedown.
Whittman lands with a kick to the temple. Brown shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Brown tries for a takedown but Whittman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Whittman throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.
Whittman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Whittman thuds his shin into the meat of Brown 's side.
Duane Whittman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Whittman throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Whittman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Whittman moves into range and connects with a jab.

Brown decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
