The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz slips a jab from Black.
Black misses with a hook.
Black defending well as Schultz loads up on a big left hand.
Black keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Schultz.
Black looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Nice uppercut there from Schultz.
Schultz swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Schultz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Black eats them both and turns towards Schultz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Black takes one on the button.
Black slips a jab and a cross from Schultz.

Schultz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Black's jab looks to have found its range, popping Schultz under the eye.
Schultz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Black.

A nice side step and Black releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Black moves in looking to clinch but Schultz pushes him off.

Schultz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Dutch Schultz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schultz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Black throws a right hand that Schultz ducks under and follows up with a left that Schultz also avoids with ease.

Schultz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Vlad Black has been cut.

and Black counters with a series of strikes. Schultz will be more careful next time no doubt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Black will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Schultz throws a hook to the side of Black's head but Black sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Schultz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Schultz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Black throws a left and a right that both miss
and Schultz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Black is rocked!
Schultz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Black moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Black is still on wobbly legs! Can Schultz finish him?
Schultz connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Black! He's out on his feet! Schultz rushes in and drops Black with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dutch Schultz!
After winning the bout, Dutch Schultz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
