18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darnell Cane! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane lands a head shot.
It looks like Alexander Pichushkin has been cut. Cane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pichushkin. Pichushkin dodges the punch combination from Cane.
Pichushkin ducks under a wild hook from Cane. We've been hearing reports that Pichushkin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Cane misses the shot to the body. Pichushkin misses with a straight left. Cane keeps the fight on the outside. Pichushkin checks a leg kick. Pichushkin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cane. Cane changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Cane loads up on a big right hand but Pichushkin slips the punch. Cane throws a looping overhand right but Pichushkin ducks down to avoid it. Pichushkin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Cane keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pichushkin. Pichushkin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cane looks to land a left hand but Pichushkin moved out of range nicely. Cane pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pichushkin was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Pichushkin looks to score with a jab to the body but Cane is just out of range. Cane loads up on a big right hand but Pichushkin slips the punch. Cane looks to land a right hand but Pichushkin moved out of range. Cane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cane drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Pichushkin defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pichushkin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Decent striking displayed by Pichushkin there. Pichushkin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Pichushkin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cane manages to avoid it. Cane drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A swing and a miss from Pichushkin. Nice straight punches there by Cane. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cane. Cane rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pichushkin counters with a stiff right hand. Pichushkin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Pichushkin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Pichushkin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pichushkin lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cane's sensitive parts. Pichushkin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Pichushkin misses with a low kick.
Pichushkin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Cane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pichushkin moves away.

Cane lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Cane looks to land a left hand but Pichushkin moved out of range nicely. Pichushkin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cane. Pichushkin throws the left hand but Cane avoids the punch easily. Cane looks to land a right hand but Pichushkin moved out of range. Pichushkin walks into a left hand. Pichushkin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Canes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Cane has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cane there as he acknowledges the shot. Cane fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pichushkin blocks a jab. Cane throws a jab when Pichushkin was well out of range. Pichushkin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pichushkin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cane tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pichushkin is in Cane's guard. Cane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pichushkin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pichushkin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pichushkin throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cane has Pichushkin pulled in close to control his posture. Pichushkin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cane preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pichushkin trying to control but Cane is working from the bottom. Pichushkin works over Cane with some ground and pound from guard. Pichushkin stays in close to Cane's body and controls the position. Cane tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cane has Pichushkin pulled in close to control his posture. Pichushkin throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pichushkin manages to get himself to full guard.
Pichushkin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cane is aware though and is defending well. Pichushkin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cane. Cane postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pichushkin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pichushkin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cane has picked Pichushkin up and slammed him! Pichushkin can't keep hold of the triangle and Cane manages to pass to side control! Cane working the body and head with strikes. Cane landing strikes. Pichushkin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Cane scoring with strikes to the body and head. Cane seems to be working for a kimura but Pichushkin defends the submission attempt. Cane not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alexander Pichushkin will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Pichushkin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pichushkin misses with a wild body shot. Pichushkin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cane throws out the jab. Cane misses with an uppercut. Pichushkin saw that one coming. Cane drives through with a takedown into guard. Pichushkin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pichushkin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cane postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cane working some strikes from top position. Cane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pichushkin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cane has managed to get both his arms back between Pichushkin's legs - danger averted. Cane scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane connects with a couple of short punches. Cane won't allow Pichushkin to sweep him here. Cane throws a big elbow that misses. Cane lands a couple of elbows.
Alexander Pichushkin's cut is getting worse. Cane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cane keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pichushkin's head.
Pichushkin is rocked!
Alexander Pichushkin's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Pichushkin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Oh Pichushkin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cane lands a couple of elbows.
Jeez, Alexander Pichushkin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Darnell Cane! Darnell Cane tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
