Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eder Munhoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Figueroa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mountain of Power Procession. Rafael Figueroa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Figueroa ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eder Munhoz! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munhoz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A punch combination from Figueroa misses. Figueroa lands a with a good body shot. Figueroa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Munhoz shoots for a double leg takedown but Figueroa sprawls well. He's pushed Munhoz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Figueroa rushes Munhoz and presses him up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munhoz takes a shot to the head. Figueroa pushes off an throws an elbow but Munhoz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Figueroa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Figueroa throws the kick towards the body but Munhoz avoids it. Rafael Figueroa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Figueroa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Figueroa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Figueroa scores with a nice short uppercut. Munhoz prevents Figueroa from breaking the clinch. Figueroa misses with a knee strike.
Munhoz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Munhoz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Munhoz is trying to break free. Munhoz fails to pull guard.

Figueroa lands an elbow inside. Munhoz jumps guard but Figueroa stands there with Munhoz around his waist. Munhoz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Munhoz tries to buck Figueroa off but Figueroa is having none of it. Munhoz looks gassed! Munhoz struggling a bit here. Figueroa in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Munhoz is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
