Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeffry Beasley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hunter Goethals! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beasley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Beasley tries to pull guard but Goethals holds him up against the cage and eventually Beasley drops back down to his feet.
Goethals breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Goethals has closed the distance and engaged Beasley in a clinch.
Beasley looking for a takedown. Goethals pulls guard effortlessly. Beasley avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Beasley scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goethals has Beasley pulled in close to control his posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beasley throws a strike but Goethals rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Beasley throws his legs up looking for a submission but Goethals uses it to pass to side control.
Goethals is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Beasley has escaped the position, nice work there. Goethals tries to stand but Beasley is controlling his head. Beasley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Goethals wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Beasley is letting Goethals control him for a moment. Beasley is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goethals wants to stand but Beasley is controlling his arm. Goethals working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Beasley is trying to buck Goethals off. Goethals is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Goethals wants to control but Beasley is keeping him busy. Beasley is being controlled here. Beasley is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goethals wants to stand but Beasley has his arm trapped. Beasley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Goethals has just dragged him back down to the mat. Beasley is looking for a sweep. Goethals is looking to take a break and control but Beasley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Beasley manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goethals wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beasley keeps working. Beasley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Goethals pulls his head out easily. Goethals scoring with strikes to the body and head. Beasley wants to get back to his feet. Goethals passes to side control. Beasley is looking to reverse the position. Beasley really is a fat lump. Beasley wants to get back to his feet. Beasley is breathing heavily. Goethals tries to stand but Beasley is controlling his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beasley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Beasley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Goethals throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Goethals has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beasley is working away from the top position though. Goethals tries to get to full guard but Beasley has control of the leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hunter Goethals dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Goethals shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beasley as he avoids it easily. Beasley appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Hunter Goethals seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Goethals fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Beasley tries to counter by clinching up but Goethals breaks away and moves out of range. Goethals has Beasley up against the cage in a clinch.

Goethals is trying to control the position but Beasley postures up. Goethals lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Beasley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hunter Goethals has got the better of the ground game so far. Beasley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Goethals stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beasley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beasley wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Goethals manages to pass to side control. Beasley looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Goethals pushes Beasley up against the cage in a clinch. Goethals slows down the pace here.
Beasley gets control of Goethals's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beasley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Goethals looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Beasley is trying to control the position but Goethals postures up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Goethals postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Beasley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Goethals defends it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Goethals won't allow Beasley to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hunter Goethals showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Goethals drives through with a takedown into guard. Beasley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goethals gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Beasley is looking for a triangle but Goethals pushes his legs off easily.
Goethals's corner is telling him to maintain position. Goethals is standing up over Beasley. Beasley looks to escape but Goethals dives into side control.

Goethals has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Beasley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Goethals just misses with a elbow thrown towards Beasley's brow. Goethals manages to pull guard.
Beasley stops Goethals from standing up. Goethals seems keen to control Beasley's posture. Beasley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Goethals manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Beasley has Goethals in his guard. Goethals connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goethals trying to stand up but can't free himself from Beasley's guard. Beasley wants to sweep but no luck. Beasley wants to get back to his feet but Goethals is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Beasley keeping full guard, as Goethals tries to pass. Goethals passes easily into side control. Nice work. Goethals tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Goethals trying to control the action but Beasley is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Goethals is trying to get an arm triangle but Beasley is defending well. Beasley trying to control but Goethals flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Goethals's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Beasley wants to escape the position.

Jeffry Beasley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hunter Goethals is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Goethals really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Beasley.
And that's the end of the fight! Hunter Goethals comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Goethals has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
